Job Description

The Personal Banker I provides the best client experience possible for BOKF’s clients. They are empowered and responsible for providing a superior experience on every interaction in a manner that builds a permanently engaged client. Interactions include providing answers or solutions on account activity, teller transactions, digital banking products, debit cards, and other products or processes. The Personal Banker will handle client interactions effectively and efficiently, exceeding client expectations and providing support that makes clients feel assured their needs are fully resolved. Interactions may occur in person, via phone, chat, email, or other digital channels.

During your first nine weeks, you will participate in comprehensive training, which may occur at a different location and schedule from your regular work hours.

How You'll Spend Your Time
  • Deliver exceptional client experiences to build, expand, and retain long-term relationships, assessing financial needs and offering bank products and services.
  • Open and recommend a full range of retail products, including loans, during routine banking transactions.
  • Educate clients about digital banking services like online banking, Bill Pay, E-Statements, and mobile/ATM deposits.
  • Resolve client problems while maintaining high satisfaction levels.
  • Perform teller transactions and seek opportunities to deepen relationships and meet financial goals.
  • Follow internal controls, policies, laws, and regulations.
  • Engage in professional development, training, and coaching to enhance skills and product knowledge.
Education & Experience Requirements

Typically, a high school diploma or equivalent plus 1+ years of sales or customer service experience; a college degree is a plus, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Knowledge of consumer financial products and services.
  • Experience with banking, retail sales, or contact center operations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Ability to follow standards and escalate issues appropriately.
  • Basic math skills for account reconciliation.
  • Proficiency with PC applications and internal systems.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, both in person and via phone.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
