Job Description:

The Personal Banker I provides the best client experience possible for BOKF’s clients. They are empowered and responsible for providing a superior experience on every interaction in a manner that builds a permanently engaged client. Interactions include providing answers or solutions on account activity, teller transactions, digital banking products, debit cards, and other products or processes. The Personal Banker will handle client interactions effectively and efficiently, exceeding client expectations and providing support that makes clients feel assured their needs are fully and accurately resolved. Interactions may occur in person, via phone, chat, email, or other digital channels.

During your first eight weeks, you will participate in a comprehensive training program, which may differ from your regular schedule.

How You'll Spend Your Time:
  1. Deliver outstanding client experience by communicating effectively with BOKF clients via inbound calls, chats, follow-up outbound calls, and responding to digital messages.
  2. Demonstrate good decision-making, mitigate risk, escalate concerns appropriately, and ensure clients feel confident their needs are addressed.
  3. Educate clients about bank services such as online banking, Bill Pay, E-Statements, and mobile/ATM deposit capabilities.
  1. Confidently recommend a full range of consumer products and services, including deposit accounts, loans, digital banking, and self-service options to help clients reach their financial goals.
  1. Participate in professional development through training, self-improvement, and skill-building activities, including coaching and feedback sessions, to enhance product knowledge, sales, and client relations skills.
Education & Experience Requirements:

This knowledge is typically obtained through a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 1+ years of sales or customer service experience; a college degree is a plus, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Working knowledge of consumer financial products and services.
  • Knowledge of banking, retail sales, operations, and contact center support via phone, email, and chat.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including professional etiquette, proper grammar, and punctuation.
  • Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to follow standards and use judgment to escalate when necessary.
  • Strong basic math skills for account reconciliation.
  • Proficiency with PC applications, including word processing and spreadsheets, and ability to learn internal systems.
  • Ability to multitask effectively.
  • Interpersonal skills, including sales and client relations, both in person and via phone.
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
