The Personal Banker discusses customers' personal financial needs and recommends suitable solutions. The ideal candidate should be approachable, friendly, accommodating, and enthusiastic about teamwork. They should listen to customer and employee needs and serve others through their work.

Primary Duties

Customer Service

• Respond promptly to customer inquiries and requests, resolving difficult transactions and situations.
• Promote and cross-sell bank products and services based on customer needs.
• Maintain ongoing relationships by informing and advising customers about account status or enhancements, resolving disputes, and suggesting solutions.
• Answer calls, take messages, provide information, and direct calls appropriately.
• Follow security procedures and safeguard customer information.
• Assist customers with ATM machine usage.

Cash Handling

• Generate new business to meet profitability goals.
• Receive checks and cash deposits, verify amounts, examine checks, and record transactions.
• Cash checks and pay money from accounts after verification.
• Balance cash drawers and calculate daily transactions.
• Examine checks for endorsements and other details.

Products and Services Knowledge

• Understand bank products/services and current customer relationships, offering appropriate information and referrals.
• Evaluate potential customer needs and offer suitable financial products.
• Open new deposit accounts and prepare related documentation.
• Assist with various deposit products and educate customers about home loan options, scheduling appointments as needed.

Professionalism, Experience, and Training

• High school diploma required.
• Previous banking or customer service experience preferred.
• Complete CSB PB Career Path training courses.
• Maintain a professional appearance and work area.
• Pass training on bank policies and regulations.
• Become a certified digital banking expert.
• Perform all duties of a Personal Banker.
