Responsibilities
- Proactively engage with existing customers and prospects by providing needs-based assessments to grow loyalty and identify opportunities.
- Complete needs assessments to identify financial solutions and preferred banking channels, recommending tailored solutions for sales and service needs, including banking, investments, lending, home financing, and small business solutions.
- Advise clients on digital and self-serve options to make banking easy, simple, and fast.
- Support customer transactions based on traffic and needs.
- Build new relationships within the community to grow BMO’s business.
- Ensure accurate data entry and lending recommendations in compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
- Apply risk management frameworks to protect assets and maintain portfolio quality.
- Make credit recommendations for personal lending, including home financing, following sound principles and policies.
- Collaborate effectively within the branch and market team.
- Understand customer needs and incorporate marketing promotions into conversations for strategic advice.
- Organize work information for accuracy and completeness.
- Innovate to personalize customer experiences and contribute to overall service improvement.

Qualifications
- Typically 2-3 years of relevant experience and post-secondary education or equivalent.
- Registration to sell investment products (as applicable).
- Lending qualifications and designations.
- Knowledge of personal and small business customer needs and solutions.
- Experience with retail investments and lending products.
- Comfort with social media, tablets, smartphones, and online tools.
- Experience in customer service or sales, with a focus on personal experience.
- Strong interpersonal, listening, problem-solving, and creative response skills.
- Good communication, organization, collaboration, and analytical skills.
