Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Providing exceptional customer service in line with Valley's mission statement, engaging customers with friendly and professional service.
- Knowledge of all bank products and services, educating customers, cross-selling, and demonstrating product benefits.
- Presenting a confident and professional demeanor to establish trust, analyzing customer needs, and recommending suitable products and services.
- Meeting with customers to analyze financial needs, maximizing sales opportunities, opening accounts (checking, savings, CDs, IRAs), and discussing/selling loan products. Promoting online and mobile banking services.
- Meeting customer expectations, achieving service quality standards, participating in sales referrals, and assisting management in coaching staff.
- Performing all customer transactions efficiently, maintaining and balancing a cash box, and utilizing technology such as Teller Scanning Equipment, Cash Recycling, and Dispensing machines.
- Acting as Vault Teller to ensure branch cash adequacy, managing currency orders, and distributing cash to Tellers within prescribed limits.
- Participating in community events (e.g., Habitat for Humanity) and supporting CRA initiatives.
- Reporting significant issues and unusual activity to management, maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Adhering to the Bank's Code of Conduct and policies and procedures.
