Job summary

The Barclay at Boynton Beach is seeking a Part-Time Personal Assistant to support assisted living and memory care residents with companionship, daily living activities, and light housekeeping. The role covers 7 AM to 3 PM on alternating weekends.

You will report changes in health, assist with dining and engagement activities, and help residents with memory and performance programs while reflecting the facility's commitment to compassionate care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CNA certification preferred but not required unless state mandates.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
• Experience with older adults preferred.
• Must be flexible to weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and oversee activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, feeding) as needed.
• Report changes in residents' health and complete daily data sheets.
• Assist residents with memory and performance improvement programs.
• Perform light housekeeping and laundry.
• Assist with dining and mealtime support as directed by leadership.
• Plan and lead activities to keep residents engaged and happy.

Primary Responsibilities of the Personal Assistant - Part Time - 7AM - 3PM E/O Weekend

• Supports our assisted living and memory care residents by providing companionship, supportive listening and activities of daily living, i.e. bathing, dressing, feeding, etc.
• Reporting changes in the health and status of the resident and completing daily data sheets to record progress.
• Assists residents with memory and performance improvement programs.
• Light housekeeping and laundry.
• Assists with dining as needed or directed by leadership team.
• Assists with activities to keep residents engaged and happy.

Requirements

• Must have a caring heart and willingness to serve others
• High School Diploma/GED Equivalent
• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification preferred but not required unless state requirement
• CPR/First Aid, preferred
• Must be flexible and prepared to work a variety of shifts including weekends and holidays
• Experience working with older adults preferred
