Job summary

UDirect Support is seeking a caring Personal Assistant to provide weekend 4-hour support for a 4-year-old child with Autism, a severe learning disability, and ARFID. The role involves one-to-one care, personal care, feeding, medication administration, communication support, emotional regulation, and guided activities at home and in the community.

You will help the child engage in play, arts and crafts, soft play, outdoor activities, and visits to parks, while building a positive relationship

Qualifications

• Experience caring for children with disabilities.

• Excellent communication with parents and child.

We are seeking a caring, reliable, and enthusiastic Personal Assistant to provide dedicated one-to-one support for a 4-year-old child with Autism, a severe learning disability, and ARFID (Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder).

This rewarding role involves helping the child to engage in everyday activities, develop skills, access the community, and enjoy meaningful experiences in a safe and supportive environment.

The successful candidate will support with personal care, feeding, medication administration, communication, emotional regulation, educational and developmental activities, and community outings.

The child is a happy and active young person who enjoys arts and crafts, soft play, outdoor adventures, sports, and exploring local parks and community spaces. We are looking for someone who can build a positive relationship, encourage participation, and make activities fun and engaging.

Hours:

Weekend hours available – average of 4hrs per week.

Rate of Pay:

£12.71 per hour
