Qualifications

  • 3+ years of proven experience as a personal care assistant or similar role.
  • High School diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in caregiving preferred
  • Valid CA Driver’s License
  • Knowledge of caregiving best practices and procedures
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks
  • Physical ability to lift and move up to 35 pounds

Responsibilities

  • Run errands, such as grocery shopping and picking up prescriptions, and provide transportation to various appointments and social activities.
  • Manage schedules, organize appointments, and assist with correspondence and communication.
  • Assists with household operations, including coordinating with service providers, managing household supplies, and ensuring the home is well-maintained.
  • Assist with personal care tasks as needed, such as dressing, grooming, etc.
  • Perform household tasks including cooking, cleaning, shopping, and laundry
  • Help with mobility and physical therapy exercises as needed
  • Provide companionship, including social interaction and conversation
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of the client at all times
  • Other duties as assigned

Education And/or Experience

3+ years of proven experience as a personal care assistant or similar role is required.


High School diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in caregiving preferred


Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Valid CA Driver’s License


Licensed and bonded a plus


Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

Knowledge of caregiving best practices and procedures


Strong communication and interpersonal skills


Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks


Physical ability to lift and move up to 35 pounds
