Job summary

Southern Hearts Homecare of Georgia inc is looking for competent Personal Care Assistants to support clients in daily living, safety, and independence. This role emphasizes compassionate, reliable caregiving with strong communication and adherence to care plans.

You will help with activities of daily living, mobility, meal prep, medication reminders, and companionship, while ensuring privacy and dignity. Prior caregiving experience is preferred; must pass background checks and hold CPR/First

Qualifications

• Previous Personal Care Assistant experience preferred.
• Compassionate, patient, respectful and dependable.

• Committed to client health and safety.
• Physically capable of caregiving duties.
• High school diploma or equivalent; CPR/First Aid current.
• TB test current; valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene.
• Provide medication reminders.
• Prepare meals according to clients' needs and preferences.
• Perform light housekeeping and maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Assist clients with shopping and errands.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Assist with mobility and transfers when required.
• Follow each client's plan of care and assigned task sheet.
• Observe and report changes in a client's condition or behavior.
• Document services accurately and on time.
• Respond quickly and responsibly during emergencies.
• Protect clients' privacy, dignity, and confidential information.
• Perform other authorized personal care duties as assigned.
