Job summary

Jimmy John’s is seeking a Shift Lead to run a high-energy shift, ensuring perfect sandwiches, top-notch customer service, and smooth operations when the General Manager isn’t on duty. You’ll lead a tight-knit crew, maintain quality standards, and drive efficiency across tasks and people.

You’ll gain leadership and operations experience with paid training, while working evenings and weekends as business dictates.

Qualifications

• Ensures that every customer receives world-class customer service.
• Routes deliveries and serves drivers to maximize delivery business and speed within the restaurant walls.
• Completes and oversees daily food preparation (opening procedures, meat and vegetable slicing, bread production).
• Completes and oversees opening and closing procedures.
• Executes systems and procedures with 100% integrity and completeness; completes daily paperwork as necessary.
• Responsible for 100% of the cash drawers at all times during the shift.
• Displays a sense of urgency in all tasks.

Job Summary

Shift Leads run a shift, but do not have authority over other employees. The Shift Lead’s job is to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and to confirm that operational standards are maintained at all times during their shift.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensures that every customer receives world-class customer service.
• Routes deliveries and serves drivers to maximize delivery business and speed within the four walls of the restaurant.
• Completes and oversees daily food preparation (opening procedures, meat and vegetable slicing, bread production).
• Completes and oversees opening and closing procedures.
• Executes systems and procedures with 100% integrity and completeness. Completes daily paperwork as necessary.
• Responsible for 100% of the cash drawers at all times during the shift.
• Displays a sense of urgency in all tasks.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Must be able to read and write and communicate in English.
• Position requires bending, reaching, stooping, climbing, repetitive motions, cognitive skills, standing and moving about the unit the entire workday.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Must be at least 18 years of age, have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, current automobile insurance and a clean driving record.

Special Requirements

• Willing to work evenings, holidays, weekends as business dictates.
• Ability to establish priorities, work independently and proceed with objectives with minimal supervision.
• Ability to handle and resolve customer threats and issues.
• Ability to handle stress and a high-volume enterprise.
