Job summary

You will work with the engineering team to ensure compliance with jurisdictional permit drawing requirements and build strong, clear communications with customers and stakeholders. An ideal candidate has 1–3 years of permit experience, proficient Microsoft Office skills, and strong organizational

Qualifications

• 1–3 years relevant permit experience required.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• AEC industry experience advantageous but not required.
• Strong analysis, decision making and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Acquire up-to-date permitting information from local jurisdictions and assemble permit packages for overhead/underground power line installations.
• Acquire permit fees, complete permit applications, and submit check requests.
• Meet with jurisdictions to track permit requirements, lead times, and special requirements.
• Track construction inspection requirements and permit close-out processes.
• Ensure compliance with permit drawing requirements and coordinate with the engineering team.
• Research county assessor records, maps, and construction docs as needed.
• Provide customer-facing communications and status updates to stakeholders.
