Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in management, public administration, or related field.
• Three years of supervisory/managerial experience in planning and building services.
• Must hold or be eligible for a valid California Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations of the City's Permit Center, ensuring applications are processed efficiently and in compliance.
• Supervise and develop a high-performing team of permit technicians and operations staff.
• Partner with Building Official and leadership to implement process improvements and technology solutions.
• Provide guidance to customers, developers, staff, and agencies by resolving permitting issues and coordinating reviews.
• Monitor performance, analyze workload trends, and prepare reports to improve efficiency and service.
• Coordinate with Planning, Fire, Public Works, Transportation, and others for timely permit reviews.
• Lead special projects and modernization efforts to improve customer experience and development goals.
