Jacobs is seeking a Junior Environmental Permitting Analyst to support planning, permitting, and delivery of electric transmission projects. You will help secure environmental approvals and maintain regulatory compliance across project phases.

You will collaborate with engineering, regulatory, real estate, legal, and stakeholder teams, coordinating surveys, permits, and documentation while traveling up to 20% as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in environmental science, planning, geology, or related field.
• 2–4 years of relevant environmental consulting, regulatory, planning, or infrastructure experience.
• Experience with environmental permitting and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to interpret regulations and agency correspondence.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 20%.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and support environmental permitting for electric transmission projects.
• Prepare, review, and manage permit applications, reports, and agency submittals.
• Coordinate environmental surveys, impact assessments, and field studies.
• Support route and design evaluations by identifying permitting risks.
• Maintain permitting records and ensure compliance documentation.
• Translate permit conditions into practical project requirements.
• Assist with procurement and management of environmental consultants.
• Promote safe work practices and health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements.
• Research environmental regulations and permitting pathways to support filings.
• Track permit schedules and project correspondence.
