The City of Conroe is seeking a Permit Technician responsible for providing excellent customer service while issuing various permits. Applicants should have a High School diploma with some college preferred and experience in building or planning departments.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with some college courses preferred.
• Two years of experience in planning departments, with experience in computerized building permit applications processing.
• ICBO Permit Technician certification or must obtain within a year.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service while issuing permits.
• Answer questions and complaints from the public.
• Assist in completing forms necessary for the permitting process.

Skills

Knowledge of modern office practices and procedures
