Job summary

The Town of Wellesley’s Recycling and Disposal Facility (RDF) seeks a full-time Permit Verifier/Trash Collector. You will issue permits, operate heavy equipment, and collect waste and recyclables across town routes and buildings, contributing to efficient recycling and revenue goals.

Requirements include a high school diploma, MA licenses, and the ability to lift 100 pounds; willingness to participate in snow/Ice control and standby duties.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid MA Class D driver’s license.
• MA Hoisting Engineer’s License, Classes 1C and 2C required.
• Ability to deal effectively with the public and maintain accurate records.
• Ability to lift and/or move 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Issue RDF permits and waivers to eligible parties.
• Operate diesel and gas powered equipment including forklifts, small bucket loaders, and small trucks.
• Collect solid waste and recyclables from town routes, DPW/MLP complex, and buildings.
• Transport recyclables to RDF for recycling and assist in revenue strategy.
• Participate in snow and ice control and be available for standby, emergency, and weekend duties.
