Minimum Hourly Rate: $21.3777 (Depending on Qualifications)
The License and Permit Technician provides information related to building and engineering matters, processes a high volume of applications for building permits and business tax receipts, and supports the review and preparation of plans, specifications, and construction-related documentation. Under the general direction of a department supervisor, the position reviews permit applications and contractor licensing for compliance with the City's Land Development Regulations (LDR), State statutes, and City Codes. Work follows established procedures but requires independent judgment to meet deadlines and departmental needs. Responsibilities include extensive use of word processing, spreadsheets, and business software, along with data entry, filing, reception, and general clerical functions, and involves frequent public contact.
