Public Agency Resources (PARS), a subsidiary of Willdan Group Inc., has an immediate opening for a full-time Permit Technician in the Torrance, CA area. As a Permit Technician you will provide counter and phone support, review applications, calculate and collect fees, issue building permits, and ensure all conditions are met

Qualifications

• Experience providing customer support at counter or phone.
• Ability to review permit applications for completeness and accuracy.
• Experience calculating and collecting permit fees and issuing permits.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide customer support at the counter and over the phone.
• Review permit applications for completeness and accuracy.
• Calculate and collect permit fees.
• Process and issue building permits.
• Ensure all conditions of approvals are met prior to issuance.
• Assist the public with completing permit applications.
• Verify all necessary project approvals are obtained.
• Notify applicants when construction documents and/or permits are ready.
• Coordinate and route documents for plan review and approval.
• Help resolve resident inquiries and complaints.

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• ICC Permit Technician Certification (14) preferred.
• Ability to lift/move up to 10lbs regularly and up to 25lbs occasionally.
