Reports to the Director, Building Official and Senior Permit Specialist. May report to Plans Examiner(s) or other Division Managers as directed.
The purpose of this position is the direct customer service processing of a variety of Development and Building applications.
Computer hardware and software programs, telephone, copy machine, printers, fax machine, calculator, scales, maps, and other office equipment.
High school diploma or GED equivalent. Three (3) years of experience in a similar position. Possession of and ability to maintain a valid Florida driver’s license. ICC certification as a Permit Technician, Construction Licensing Officials Association of Florida and bilingual ability is highly desired.
Experience with building plans, blueprints, and computer software.
