Job summary

HBK Engineering, LLC in Lake Mary, FL is seeking a highly organized Permit Coordinator to manage the full lifecycle of project permitting. This role serves as the central point of contact for regulatory inquiries and ensures compliance across local, state, and federal jurisdictions for engineering projects.

You will navigate complex permitting processes, prepare robust applications, track submissions, and coordinate with internal teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of proven experience in administrative support and/or customer service.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new software.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for permit inquiries.
• Maintain knowledge of local, state, and federal permit regulations.
• Research and prepare permit applications for submission.
• Track permit status through approval and construction phases.
• Prepare reports on permit activity as requested.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure permit compliance.
• Maintain accurate records and assist in training others.
• Support complex permitting projects with minimal supervision.
