Job summary

EXP is seeking a Project Administrator to support the Transportation Construction Services team in Florida. You will lead CEI construction administration, coordinate staff, and ensure project delivery while adhering to FDOT standards.

The role requires a degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Construction Management, with a Florida PE preferred, and a minimum of two years’ relevant experience. A Master’s degree may substitute for one year. Equal opportunity employment.

Qualifications

• Active PE license in Florida preferred.
• Minimum of two (2) years of engineering experience on relevant transportation projects.
• A Master’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Construction Management may substitute for one (1) year of the required experience.
• Candidates without a degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Construction Management must have a high school diploma or equivalent and eight (8) years of CEI, roadway, or bridge construction experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate all phases of Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI) construction administration.
• Direct and assign work to administrative and field staff.
• Provide leadership and guidance throughout the duration of transportation construction projects.
• Prepare, review, and manage progress estimates and final estimates.
• Exercise independent judgment and initiative in resolving project-related issues and challenges.
• Ensure compliance with FDOT standards, specifications, policies, and procedures.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and construction records.
• Communicate effectively with FDOT representatives, contractors, consultants, and project team members.

What your experience looks like

Candidates with a degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Construction Management:

• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Florida preferred.


• Minimum of two (2) years of engineering experience on relevant transportation projects.


• A Master’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Construction Management may substitute for one (1) year of the required experience.

Candidates without a degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Construction Management

• High school diploma or equivalent required.


• Minimum of eight (8) years of CEI, roadway, or bridge construction experience.


• At least two (2) years of experience must include relevant transportation projects.

Certifications

• FDOT Advanced Maintenance of Traffic (MOT).


• CTQP Final Estimates Level II.


• CTQP Quality Control Manager.
