This role keeps projects on schedule by maintaining clear communication with project teams, government agencies, inspectors, insurers, and regulatory authorities; requires strong organizational skills and travel as needed.

Qualifications

  • Experience coordinating permits, inspections, or project documentation preferred.
  • Construction industry experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of construction permitting processes and regulatory compliance is a plus.
  • Familiarity with COIs and construction insurance documentation is a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate permit applications and regulatory approvals required for construction projects.
  • Prepare, submit, and track permit documentation.
  • Communicate with city, county, state, and other regulatory agencies throughout the permitting process.
  • Receive review comments, coordinate revisions with the project team, and resubmit documentation when required.
  • Ensure permits are obtained in accordance with project schedules.
  • Schedule and coordinate required project inspections.
  • Communicate with inspectors and regulatory authorities regarding inspection requirements.
  • Track inspection results and coordinate corrective actions with project teams.
  • Arrange re-inspections after deficiencies have been addressed.
  • Obtain Temporary Certificates of Occupancy (TCO), COs, and other required approvals.
  • Prepare documentation required for construction insurance policies.
  • Coordinate with insurance brokers and insurance carriers.
  • Review and verify COIs.
  • Ensure insurance documentation complies with contract and project requirements.
  • Monitor policy expirations and coordinate timely renewals.
  • Coordinate documentation between regulatory agencies, architects, engineers, contractors, project managers, and insurance providers.
  • Keep Project Managers informed regarding permit status, inspections, and insurance documentation.
  • Travel within the United States as required to submit documentation, attend inspections, and coordinate with regulatory agencies.

We are seeking a Permit & Insurance Coordinator to support construction projects by coordinating permit applications, inspections, and insurance documentation while ensuring compliance with local, state, and project requirements. This role plays a key part in keeping construction projects legally compliant and on schedule by maintaining accurate communication between project teams, government agencies, inspectors, insurance providers, and regulatory authorities.

Key Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications
Education

High school diploma or Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
