Job summary

Patterson-UTI Drilling Company, LLC is seeking a Senior HSE Manager to lead field safety and execution for multiple rigs in the Permian Basin. The role requires hands-on field presence, strong incident investigations, and the ability to drive improvements across operations.

You will mentor HSE Advisors, coordinate with Operations Managers and HR, and ensure compliance with company standards. Willingness to travel and relocate within 45 miles of Midland is required, with a focus on safety,

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of seven (7) years of HSE experience in oil and gas, with direct experience supporting drilling rig operations.
• Minimum of three (3) years in a manager or supervisor role managing large field teams and performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead HSE performance and field support for multiple oil and gas drilling rigs across the Permian Basin.
• Mentor HSE Advisors to Senior HSE Advisors and future supervisors for field ownership.
• Drive policy compliance, procedural discipline, and process improvements across drilling rig operations.
• Conduct incident investigations, root-cause analysis, and corrective-action planning.
• Prepare written reports, dashboards, and customer-ready updates with trends and metrics.
• Coordinate with Operations Managers, Drilling Superintendents, Technical Services, HR, and customers to align HSE with regional goals.
• Travel consistently to field locations and work extended schedules as needed.
