Permanent Traveling Director of Nursing- Registered Nurse (RN)

This position offers an exciting opportunity for experienced Directors of Nursing to lead nursing departments across skilled nursing centers in North Carolina, utilizing their leadership and clinical expertise in a full-time, travel-based role.

Pay Range

Base pay ranges from $100,000.00 to $120,000.00 annually. Actual compensation will depend on skills and experience. Discuss details with your recruiter.

Role Responsibilities
  • Oversee nursing departments and ensure resident needs are met through effective coordination of care and supervision of clinical staff.
  • Manage clinical resources efficiently to provide high-quality care in accordance with regulatory standards.
  • Maintain documentation and communication of resident care, ensuring records are completed timely and confidentially.
  • Develop and evaluate resident care goals and policies in collaboration with the clinical team and administration.
  • Participate in leadership meetings and initiatives, including QAPI and daily performance improvement activities.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Effective communication skills with patients and healthcare providers.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency with medical equipment and healthcare software.
  • Empathy, patience, and confidentiality awareness.
  • Ability to respond calmly in emergencies.
  • Knowledge of documentation standards and regulatory compliance.
Educational and Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing with a current, unencumbered RN license in North Carolina.
  • At least 3 years in geriatric nursing, including medication management.
  • Minimum 2 years in supervisory roles, with experience in staff development, budgeting, and scheduling preferred.
  • Familiarity with the MDS process and survey protocols.
