Job summary

Exeter SAU 16 is seeking a Classroom Assistant to support certified staff and guide students to achieve instructional goals. You will work closely with students in the classroom and in non-instructional areas to enhance learning and ensure a safe environment.

This role requires strong interpersonal skills, a high school diploma, and ideally, experience with special needs children. You will play a key role in fostering a nurturing educational atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Ability to assist certified professional staff in the classroom.
• Experience working with special needs children is desirable.
• Ability to establish supportive relationships with students.

Responsibilities

• Assist and guide students in various subjects including reading and mathematics.
• Help in classroom preparations and behavioral management.
• Accompany students on field trips for supervision.

Education
