COWETA COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT is seeking a Permanent Substitute for Eastside Elementary School. The role involves following instructional plans and maintaining classroom order in the absence of the regular teacher. Candidates are required to hold a minimum of a high school diploma and preferred experience in education.
This position offers $14.57 per hour for 7.5 hours a day with benefits for the 2026-2027 school year. The candidate must comply with the educational policies of the Coweta County Board of Education.

Permanent Substitute
Provide for the competent application of instructional plans for an assigned class of students in the absence of the regular teacher. Meet and instruct all classes and duties normally assigned to the teacher for whom the substitute teacher is serving. Follow the teacher's plans and program of study using materials and equipment provided. Maintain a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students. Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities. Maintain order in the classroom in a fair and just manner consistent with school rules and procedures. Maintain familiarity with the course of study as set forth in the county curriculum guides. Carry out the policies of the Coweta County Board of Education as they relate to the school, to the classroom, and to contacts with pupils and parents under the supervision of the local school principal. Cooperate professionally with all fellow workers and with the administration of the school. Comply with any reasonable oral or written directive of the principal or other appropriate administrators.
