Job summary

GREENWOOD SCHOOL DISTRICT 50 seeks a Permanent Substitute for East End Academy for Fall Semester 2026 only. The substitute will provide classroom coverage when regular teachers are absent and must confidently teach a wide range of developmental age groups.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, and completion of the ParaPro Exam or 60 college credits. The role reports to the East End Academy Director and involves a 180-day, 7.5-hour day schedule with a temporary assignment

Qualifications

• Completion of high school diploma or equivalent and pass the ParaPro Exam or completion of at least 60 college credit hours.

• A positive attitude, with a strong sense of humor. Wants to be part of a close community and able to contribute in positive ways to the culture of the school.
• Communicate effectively in a professional, tactful and courteous manner with students, employees, faculty, and the general public.
• Perform assigned responsibilities, duties, and tasks according to established practices, procedures, techniques, and standards in a safe manner with minimal supervision.
• Other duties as assigned.

POSITION SUMMARY:

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, and LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:

(A comparable amount of training, education or experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications.) Completion of high school diploma or equivalent and pass the ParaPro Exam or completion of at least 60 college credit hours.
