Legacy Traditional Schools is seeking a dedicated substitute teacher to create a safe, engaging learning environment and to deliver direct instruction aligned with our curriculum.

You will support diverse learners, model integrity and compassion, and communicate progress with families and staff. This role emphasizes energy, enthusiasm, and a collaborative approach to education.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education and a current substitute teaching certificate.
• Pass a criminal history background check as part of the requirements.
• Demonstrate energy, integrity and a passion for teaching.

• Create a classroom and safe environment that cultivates learning, engages the interests of the students and allows them to perform at their very best.
• Utilize direct instruction techniques to guide our students through a variety of activities designed to promote the social, physical and intellectual growth that is needed for primary school success!
• Explore individual needs and give side-by-side support to discover how each student best learns and develop personalized solutions to each students’ learning style and abilities.
• Master our proven curriculum as you implement our philosophy of education and guide the learning process and students toward the achievement of the curriculum goals using a variety of best practices and teaching strategies.
• Encourage students to uphold our values and model mature behavior, good character and social skills in the classroom, on the school campus, and throughout their lives.
• Evaluate and celebrate student academic performance as you share and involve parents/guardians in the student’s progress and accomplishments and ensure the support staff are set up for success to support the students.

• Holding a bachelor’s degree in education, a current substitute teaching certificate from the state the position is located, and pass a criminal history background check.
