Job summary

Legacy Traditional Schools in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a dedicated teacher to implement engaging instruction across primary grades, with SEI endorsement. The role involves delivering structured lessons, assessing student progress, and maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.

Responsibilities

• Implement instructional activities that contribute to a climate where students are actively engaged in meaningful learning experiences.
• Identify, select, and modify instructional resources to meet the needs of the students with varying backgrounds, learning styles, and special needs.
• Utilize direct instruction techniques to guide our students through activities designed to promote growth.
• Assist in assessing changing curricular needs and offers plans for improvement.
• Maintain effective and efficient record keeping procedures.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and other professionals on a regular basis.
• Collaborate with peers to enhance the instructional environment.
• Model professional and ethical standards when dealing with students, parents, peers, and community.
• Ensure that student growth and achievement is continuous and appropriate for age group, subject area, and/or program classification.
• Participate in training and staff meetings.
• Meet professional obligations through efficient work habits such as meeting deadlines and coordinating meetings as needed.
• Evaluate each student’s learning capabilities and celebrate student accomplishments.
• Encourage students to uphold our values and model mature behavior and good character.
• Be active in the role when light lifting, sitting, standing, moving throughout the campus and traveling to other campuses as required.

Required Qualifications That Set You Up For Success

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Valid SEI Endorsement/Certification or ability to obtain
• The incumbent in this position will be required to pass a criminal history background check.

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Up For Success

• A current teaching certificate from within the state position is located.

Physical And Travel Requirements / Work Environment

• Travel between campuses is required from time to time.
• This position requires the need to lift objects (up to 25 pounds) on occasion.
• This position may require sitting for long periods at times, talking on the phone, standing, kneeling, stooping and long periods of concentration.
• Local and in-state travel required.
