Job summary

Healthforce is seeking an experienced Permanent Operating Room RN for Manhattan, KS. This role offers day shift options (0630-1500, 0630-1630, or 0600-1800) with no on-call or weekend obligations.

Responsibilities include intraoperative nursing care, sterile field prep, and collaboration with surgeons and anesthesia to ensure patient safety and efficient room turnover. Kansas RN license, BLS/ACLS, and OR experience required.

Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered RN license in Kansas (or compact equivalent).
• Current BLS and ACLS required.
• Minimum hands-on experience in orthopedic surgery (total joint replacements and sports medicine).
• Ability to circulate/assist across General, ENT, GYN, Spine, Urology, and Cataract procedures.
• Experience with Meditech Expanse is preferred.

• Deliver high-quality intraoperative nursing care across multiple surgical specialties.
• Assist with surgical suite setup, sterile field preparation, and terminal cleaning of OR suites.
• Work collaboratively with surgeons, scrub techs, and anesthesia providers to maintain patient safety and efficient room turnovers.
• Adapt to varying case loads including Orthopedics, ENT, GYN, Spine, Urology, Cataracts, and General Surgery.
• Maintain complete and accurate clinical documentation (Meditech Expanse).

Pay Rate: $31.35 - $46.59 / hour (based on experience)

Location: Manhattan, KS

Job Type: Full-time or Part-time (32, 36, or 40 hours/week)

Shift: Day Shift (8, 10, or 12-hour options) | No Call, No Weekends, No Holidays

• Specialty Flexibility: Demonstrated capability to circulate/assist across General, ENT, GYN, Spine, Urology, and Cataract procedures.

• EHR: Experience with Meditech Expanse is strongly preferred.
