Job summary

HealthForce Healthcare seeks an experienced Permanent Operating Room RN to join our surgical team in Manhattan, KS. Day shift options with 8, 10, or 12 hours, and no on-call or weekend obligations.

You will administer intraoperative nursing care across multiple specialties, assist with setup and sterile technique, and collaborate with surgeons, scrub techs, and anesthesia to ensure patient safety and efficient room turnover.

Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered RN license in Kansas (or compact).
• Current BLS and ACLS required.
• Hands-on orthopedic surgery experience (total joint replacements, sports medicine).
• Ability to circulate/assist across General, ENT, GYN, Spine, Urology, Cataract procedures.
• Experience with Meditech Expanse EHR preferred.

Pay Rate: $31.35 – $46.59 / hour (based on experience)

Location: Manhattan, KS

Job Type: Full-time or Part-time (32, 36, or 40 hours/week)

Shift: Day Shift (8, 10, or 12-hour options) | No Call, No Weekends, No Holidays

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality intraoperative nursing care across multiple surgical specialties
• Assist with surgical suite setup, sterile field preparation, and terminal cleaning of OR suites
• Work collaboratively with surgeons, scrub techs, and anesthesia providers to maintain patient safety and efficient room turnovers
• Adapt seamlessly to varying case loads including Orthopedics, ENT, GYN, Spine, Urology, Cataracts, and General Surgery
• Maintain complete and accurate clinical documentation (Meditech Expanse)

Qualifications

• Education & License: Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Kansas (or compact equivalent)
• Certifications: Current BLS and ACLS required
• Clinical Experience: Minimum hands-on experience in orthopedic surgery (specifically total joint replacements and sports medicine)
• Specialty Flexibility: Demonstrated capability to circulate/assist across General, ENT, GYN, Spine, Urology, and Cataract procedures
• EHR: Experience with Meditech Expanse is strongly preferred
