Job summary

TEEMA seeks a Nurse Practitioner specialized in Neonatal Care to join a Level III NICU team in a full-time, permanent role. The position emphasizes inpatient neonatal care with collaboration among neonatologists and multidisciplinary staff.

Ideal candidates hold an accredited NNP program, active NP license, BLS and NRP, and are able to work under physician supervision in a structured setting. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Completed an accredited Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) program.
• Board Certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (required before start; Board-Eligible new graduates are encouraged to apply).
• Active Michigan state NP license (or eligibility to obtain).
• Active BLS and NRP certifications.
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in a structured, team-based environment with physician supervision.
• Applicants must be legally authorized to work without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive inpatient care for neonatal patients within a Level III NICU setting.
• Perform physical assessments, participate in daily rounds, and manage care of high-risk newborns.
• Collaborate with attending neonatologists on treatment planning and clinical decisions.
• Coordinate care with nursing, respiratory therapy, and ancillary teams.
• Counsel and educate families regarding neonatal conditions, treatment progress, and discharge plans.
• Support high-risk newborn stabilization and specialized care protocols.
