Overview
Locumly is seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner or Neonatal Nurse Practitioner for a full-time, permanent opportunity in the Southeast Michigan region. Practicing within a highly regarded Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), this position offers the opportunity to provide specialized inpatient care to critically ill and premature infants. Supported by an established team of neonatologists and multidisciplinary specialists, this role welcomes both experienced clinicians and qualified new graduates.
What you will be doing
- Provide comprehensive inpatient care for neonatal patients within a Level III NICU setting.
- Perform physical assessments, participate in daily rounds, and manage the ongoing care of high-risk newborns.
- Collaborate closely with attending neonatologists on treatment planning and clinical decisions.
- Coordinate care alongside specialized nursing, respiratory therapy, and ancillary teams.
- Counsel and educate families regarding neonatal conditions, treatment progress, and discharge plans.
- Support high-risk newborn stabilization and specialized care protocols.
What you must have
- Successful completion of an accredited Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) program.
- Board Certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (required prior to start date; Board-Eligible new graduates are encouraged to apply).
- Active Michigan state NP license (or eligibility to obtain).
- Active BLS and NRP certifications.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a structured, team-based environment with physician supervision.
- Applicants must be legally authorized to work without visa sponsorship.
