Job summary

A healthcare organization in Detroit is seeking a contingent Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) for its Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of Level III NICU experience, current licensure in Michigan, and national certification. This role offers flexible, as-needed scheduling and the chance to work with a dedicated neonatal care team focused on providing high-quality care. Completion of credentialing and Employee Health screening is required.

Qualifications

• NNP Only with current MI licensure.
• Minimum of 3 years of Level III NICU experience required.
• Completion of an accredited Neonatal Nurse Practitioner program (CCNE or NLNAC).

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to high-risk neonates, including assessment, diagnosis, and management.
• Collaborate in a multidisciplinary environment.
• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care to NICU patients.

Skills

Current MI licensure

3+ years of Level III NICU experience

National certification (ANCC, AANP, or NCCPA)

Basic Life Support (BLS)

Skills: NCC, Intubation, UAC/UVS, PIV, CT, Needle Aspiration, Foley, NGT

Education

Completion of accredited Neonatal Nurse Practitioner program
