Denison University in Granville, Ohio, seeks a Collections Manager for the Denison Museum Permanent Collection (~8,000 objects). The role leads day-to-day care, documentation, and project workflows to strengthen records and access for teaching and exhibitions.

You will coordinate acquisitions, loans, and deaccessioning, and support AAM accreditation efforts. Collaboration with the Director, Curator, faculty, and scholars is essential.

Formación

• Master's degree in a related field plus 3+ years in museum collections management.
• Experience handling, storage, preservation, and documentation of two- and three-dimensional objects.
• Experience with a museum CMS and maintaining precise collections records.
• Knowledge of professional standards related to registration, preservation, and risk management.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain day-to-day care of the Permanent Collection and develop care priorities.
• Oversee documentation, provenance research, and access to the collection.
• Coordinate acquisitions, loans, and deaccessioning processes.
• Support accreditation efforts and compliance with AAM standards.
• Collaborate with faculty, students, and external scholars on research and teaching uses.
• Train and supervise student employees and interns in museum practices.
