Job summary

The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services is seeking a Permanency Team Supervisor in Lincoln to lead a professional team delivering child welfare services. Ideal candidates hold a Master’s in social work or related field, with 2+ years in substitute care administration and strong leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work or related field.
• Three years of progressively responsible administrative child welfare experience with an MSW OR four years with a master’s degree in a related field.
• Specialized: at least 2 years in the administration of substitute care services.

Responsibilities

• Plans, supervises, reviews, and coordinates the activities of a team of professional caseworkers engaged in providing child welfare services to children and families.
• Serves as working supervisor.
• Establishes and maintains effective linkages with community and contracted service providers to ensure child-centered, family-focused services.
• Establishes and implements a team-based program of staff development and training.
• Explains and enforces agency policies, procedures, and statutory requirements.
• Performs other duties as required or assigned within scope.
