Job summary

TFI Family Services in Chanute, KS is seeking a Permanency Support Worker to join our Permanency team. You will work with Case Managers to support children and families toward permanency goals, supervise visits, provide emotional support, and help coordinate services with schools and community agencies.

A high school diploma and two years of experience with children and families are required; travel and transporting children may be necessary.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years previous work experience with children and families.
• Ability to travel and transport children as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and guidance to children and families working toward permanency goals.
• Supervise family visitations and support healthy parent-child relationships.
• Provide emotional support, role modeling, crisis intervention, and problem-solving assistance.
• Help families access community resources and understand the permanency process.
• Coordinate services with schools, community organizations, and other public and private agencies.
• Transport children and assist with placement support services.
• Maintain documentation and ensure case files are complete and audit-ready.
• Participate in staff meetings, training, and collaborative team efforts to achieve positive outcomes.
