Job summary

Wisconsin Counties Association in Marinette, WI seeks a permanency services professional to support resource and birth families, fostering stable, long-term living arrangements for children.

You will provide permanency services and balance legal requirements with emotional needs to aid reunification, guardianship, or adoption within a county setting. The role requires a Master’s degree and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work or related field.
• Knowledge of trauma reactions and interventions.
• Driver’s license in good standing.
• Qualify under Wisconsin Caregivers Law (Wisconsin Act 27).
• Experience in child welfare or social services preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to resource families (foster, respite, kinship or adoptive), birth families and children to achieve stable, long-term living arrangements.
• Deliver permanency services to families and children moving toward, or achieving, permanency.
• Balance legal requirements with emotional needs to facilitate reunification, guardianship, or adoption.
• Work toward ensuring children have permanent, safe and supportive homes.

• Ensure children in out-of-home care achieve stable, long-term living arrangements by providing support to resource families (foster, respite, kinship or adoptive), birth families and children
• Provide permanency services to resource families and children moving toward, or having achieved, permanency
• Balance legal requirements with emotional needs of children and families to facilitate reunification, guardianship, or adoption
• Achieve goal to provide children with permanent, safe and supportive homes

Job Type: County

Application Deadline: 2026-10-31

Pay: $30.73 – $37.26/hour

Working Hours: 40 Hours/Week; participate in After-Hours On-Call Rotation

Requirements

• Master’s degree from accredited school in social work, Human Services, Psychology or related field
• Working knowledge of trauma reactions and associated interventions
• Insurance acceptable driver’s license
• Qualify under WI Caregivers Law, Wisconsin Act 27
• Successful completion of Juvenile Intake Training
• Prefer experience in child welfare or social services field
