Job summary

Childrens Home Society of Florida is seeking a Child Welfare Case Manager Trainee/Case Manager to oversee the well-being of minors in care and support permanency outcomes. You will assess needs, coordinate services, and work with families, DCF, and legal entities to ensure safe, stable placements.

The role offers growth opportunities through a paid training program (Phase I) and potential advancement to a Dependency Case Manager, with statewide travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university, required.
• Bachelor’s degree in a Human Services related field, preferred.
• Master’s degree in Social Work, preferred.
• Florida Driver’s License within 30 days from hire is required, along with daily access to a reliable and insured vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Identify and assess client and family needs of minors placed in care by DCF with permanency goals.
• Conduct child safety assessments and develop service plans.
• Coordinate services, referrals, and documentation; monitor progress and outcomes.
• Prepare case reports and testify in court regarding permanency plans.
• Provide community outreach and collaborate with other professionals and agencies.
• Assist families in accessing subsidies, medical coverage, and other services.
