Job summary

Children’s Home Society of Florida is hiring a Dependency Case Manager Trainee in Florida to assess needs, connect families with resources, and advocate for child safety and permanency. You’ll participate in phased training, including classroom and supervised field practice, with a pathway to full case management certification.

Required: a bachelor’s degree, a Florida driver’s license within 30 days, and reliable vehicle access.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
• Florida Driver’s License within 30 days of hire.
• Daily access to a reliable and insured vehicle.
• Ability to complete required Child Welfare Case Management Certification training.

Responsibilities

• Assess the needs of children and families in the child welfare system.
• Develop service plans and connect families with programs and resources.
• Monitor progress and coordinate services with caregivers, providers and attorneys.
• Support placement and permanency efforts for children and families.
• Maintain case documentation, assessments, service plans and reports.
• Prepare case/status reports and provide permanency recommendations.
• Testify in court and participate in related proceedings as required.
• Help families access medical coverage, subsidies and other services.
