Stafflucid in Wilkes-Barre, PA is seeking an X-ray Technologist I to perform standardized radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations, operate radiology equipment, and maintain related records. Shift: 7a–7:30p. Union: Yes.

Education: Graduate from Specialty Training Program—Radiologic Technology. Certification: ARRT and BLS. Responsibilities include patient positioning, image quality checks, assisting physicians, and participating in student training and QA/QC procedures.

Qualifications

• Graduate from Specialty Training Program-Radiologic Technology (Required)
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) must be current
• Certified Radiology Technologist – ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)

Responsibilities

• Performs standardized radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations with correct patient positioning and exposure techniques.
• Operates radiology equipment and ensures image quality and documentation.
• Sets up and adjusts immobilization and radiation protection devices.
• Reviews patient characteristics to determine appropriate examination parameters.
• Assists physicians during procedures as needed.
• Reports equipment malfunctions and ensures timely repairs or adjustments.
• Maintains records and documentation related to examinations.
• Participates in QA/QC procedures and student training as required.

Shift: 7a-730p Union: Yes Responsible for performing a variety of standardized radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations, equipment operation, and for maintaining related records.

Job Duties

• Performs standardized radiological radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations utilizing proper patient position, identification and exposure techniques.
• Knowledgeable in operation of all equipment within modality.
• Sets up and adjusts immobilization and radiation protective equipment and devices.
• Reviews and analyzes patient body size, thickness, age, physical condition, and suspected pathology in performing examinations.
• Assists physician with various procedures.
• Reports equipment malfunctions and the need for adjustments or repairs.
• Maintains related records and notations.
• Assists in Quality Assurance/Quality Control procedures as required.
• Participates in the educational training of students.
