Job description

Job Summary: $20,000 sign on bonus for eligible applicants! This posting reflects an opening for an Xray Technologist I. We are seeking candidates for this position. Geisinger reserves the right to consider applicants for higher levels of this role, including X-ray Technologist II, based on skills, qualifications, and experience. We encourage all qualified individuals to apply.

Responsibilities include performing a variety of standardized radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations, equipment operation, and maintaining related records.

Job Duties
  1. Perform standardized radiological and fluoroscopic examinations, ensuring proper patient positioning, identification, and exposure techniques.
  2. Operate all equipment within the modality proficiently.
  3. Set up and adjust immobilization and radiation protective equipment and devices.
  4. Review and analyze patient body size, thickness, age, physical condition, and suspected pathology during examinations.
  5. Assist physicians with various procedures.
  6. Report equipment malfunctions and the need for adjustments or repairs.
  7. Maintain related records and notations.
  8. Participate in Quality Assurance/Quality Control procedures as required.
  9. Participate in the educational training of students.
