Job summary

Bachman's is seeking a Visual Designer- Perishables to create inspiring store displays and collaborate with buyers to move product from receiving to floor displays. The role centers on perishables, indoor/outdoor plant displays, and seasonal merchandising.

You will plan, install, restock, and remerchandise displays, maintain presentations, and work with store management to keep spaces looking their best. Strong organization, communication, and the ability to lift up to 50 lb are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years Visual Merchandising experience desired.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to coordinate many projects at one time.
• Ability to effectively communicate (verbally and written).
• Must be able to read, write and perform basic math skills.
• Ability to work unsupervised, independently and demonstrates strong leadership skills.
• Ability to prioritize daily schedule and identify areas needing attention.
• Ability to lift 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally; work well with others.
• Present themselves professionally to co-workers and customers.
• Ability to perform manual skills such as painting, sewing, ladder climbing, etc.

Responsibilities

• Retail store sets in perishables and indoor/outdoor plants.
• Determine effective display methods within budget and Bachman’s image.
• Create inspiring displays to support the season and merchandise.
• Ensure stores look their best and displays are maintained.
• Plan, prepare, install, remerchandise, restock and organize displays.
• Advise store management of routine needs impacting appearance.
• Inform Visual Merchandising Manager of store needs and problems.
• Maintain an orderly display work and storage area.
• Other duties as assigned.
