Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a perishable department associate to provide quality customer service, maintain product standards and support daily store operations in Monroe, NC. You will handle receiving, stocking, and display tasks while adhering to safety and company guidelines.

The role emphasizes fast, friendly service and accurate handling of merchandise, with responsibilities ranging from inventory checks to assisting customers and learning CAO/ACIS tools as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer awareness with fast, friendly, and accurate service.
• Rotate and stock merchandise in the Perishable Department per guidelines.
• Ensure proper ordering, receiving, preparation and displaying of merchandise.
• Maintain department standards for meat, dairy, frozen, and related products.
• Follow Food Lion safety guidelines and dress code; wear uniform with name badge.
• Complete CBT, training packets, and assigned courses.
