Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking a Receiving Clerk in a fast-paced warehouse in Rocky Hill, CT. The role ensures accurate receiving, data entry, and document management while coordinating with inbound drivers to support timely product intake.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, warehouse/WMS familiarity, and strong attention to detail. Work shifts start at 8pm, Wednesday to Saturday, with weekly pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Receiving or warehouse experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) preferred.
• Accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to use email, word-processing, spreadsheets, WMS and other applications.
• Ability to accommodate flexible schedules to meet the needs of the member, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with inbound drivers.
• Verify documentation for product received and related receiving documents.
• Notify Supervisor of major discrepancies before product is received.
• Document inbound carriers in Receiving Log.
• Post receive purchase orders.
• Prepare the Receiving Exception Report daily.
• Coordinate dock door priorities and driver contact with receiver/unloader.
• Assist with freight handling fees and approval of related payments.
