Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
• 2 to 3 years of experience in the Supply Chain or Logistics.
• Experience purchasing full truckload quantities of perishable products.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to manipulate data, perform calculations, and compile reports.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the entry of purchase orders to uphold adequate inventory levels for all perishable products.
• Procure appropriate quantities under specific contracts to ensure compliance with concepts.
• Communicate with other departments to address shortages and maintain inventory levels.
• Leverage supplier relationships and source new suppliers to reduce costs.
• Address shipper issues and manage credits for unusable products.
• Confirm weekly purchases to meet pricing requirements.
• Assist sales with perishable product requests and information.
• Collaborate with Quality Control and Inventory to maintain sellable shelf life.
• Manage costing in ERP to achieve margin goals.
• Coordinate with warehouse, customer service, and shipping for product issues.
