Job summary

Food Lion seeks a Perishable Department team member to provide quality customer service and maintain standards in the Perishable area. You will maximize sales with friendly service, manage stocking levels and follow safety guidelines while supporting store operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced grocery environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain enthusiastic customer awareness with fast, friendly service.
• Be courteous and helpful to other associates.
• Use ACIS for inventory and CAO for ordering.
• Receive deliveries, code, rotate and store items.
• Ensure proper ordering, receiving, preparation and displaying.
• Maintain product levels in meat, dairy, and related sections.
• Process beef and grinds as directed from production tools.
• Wrap, label, weigh and stock meat cases.
• Clean and sanitize the department and equipment.
• Follow promotions and adhere to company guidelines.
• Report accidents and unsafe conditions to management.
• Wear uniform with name badge; meet dress code.
• Complete CBT and training packets; perform other duties.
