Job summary

BJs Wholesale Club is hiring a Selector to pick products for pallets in a perishable distribution center. The role involves handling cold environments, lifting 50–100 lbs, and operating powered equipment such as forklifts and reach trucks.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED and warehouse experience. The job requires accuracy, attention to detail, and flexibility for nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; college coursework or similar experience is a plus.
• Warehouse experience preferred and beneficial for this role.
• Experience operating material handling equipment preferred.
• Able to take directions using headset selection systems such as VoCollect.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Properly, efficiently, and accurately select damage-free product to build pallets with correct labels.
• Verify product against pick tickets and complete paperwork legibly and accurately.
• Maintain productivity at 100% and accuracy at 99.9% standards.
• Check pallet condition and coordinate exchanges when needed.
• Report damage and inventory discrepancies to supervisor promptly.
• Keep dock and facility areas clean and repair pallets as required.
• Ensure pallets are wrapped and stacked safely for transport to storage.
• Operate material handling equipment after training.
• Maintain food safety and housekeeping standards and attend work regularly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
