Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Perishable Department Manager in Belzoni, MS to oversee produce, meat, dairy, bakery, and related perishable areas. You will work under the Store Manager to ensure stock freshness, accurate inventory, and engaging product presentation while delivering strong customer service.

Responsibilities include maintaining perishable stock levels, training associates, enforcing health and safety rules, and supporting cash accountability and loss prevention.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of experience in a retail environment and six months supervisory experience preferred.
• Previous lead experience and/or grocery store experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain perishable stock levels and freshness across produce, meat, dairy, bakery.
• Assist with inventory management, pricing and merchandising according to SOPs.
• Train associates in proper stocking, rotation and food handling.
• Ensure customer service and timely response to shoppers.
• Support cash accountability, loss prevention, and store security.
