Job summary

Food Lion is hiring for a Perishable Department position in Greer, SC. Provide quality customer service, maintain department standards and maximize sales through friendly service.

You will receive deliveries, stock merchandise, and follow safety guidelines while supporting store policies and procedures. This role requires strong interpersonal skills and the ability to learn multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to use technical information to solve problems.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer awareness with primary emphasis on fast, friendly, and accurate customer service to create a positive shopping experience.
• Understand and use company tools such as ACIS and CAO.
• Receive deliveries, code where applicable, rotate and put in appropriate storage area.
• Ensure ordering, receiving, preparation, conditioning and displaying of merchandise is done in accordance with policies and guidelines.
• Maintain proper product levels in all areas within the Perishable Department including meat, lunchmeat, frozen, dairy, ice cream.
• Observe and correct all unsafe conditions and follow Food Lion safety guidelines.
