Responsibilities

• Maintain an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer awareness with primary emphasis on fast, friendly, and accurate customer service to create a positive shopping experience.
• Courteous and helpful to other associates
• Understand and use company tools such as ACIS and CAO
• Receive deliveries, code where applicable, rotate and store properly
• Ensure ordering, receiving, preparation, conditioning and displaying of merchandise complies with policies
• Maintain proper product levels in the Perishable Department including meat, lunchmeat, frozen, dairy, ice cream
• Wrap, label, weigh and stock meat case as requested or needed
• Assemble, disassemble, and clean the grinder as requested or needed
• Clean and sanitize the department
• Maintain variety and layout standards
• Utilize advertising and sales promotion materials for the department
• Follow Food Safety and Workplace Safety guidelines and procedures
• Report accidents as required
• Wear the Food Lion uniform and ID badge on duty
• Complete CBT and training packets as required
• Perform other duties as assigned
